Set in the heart of the medina, close to both the Bahia and Badia Palaces, Sadian Tombs and the Dar Si Said museum, it is just a few minutes walk from Djma F'na Square, taxis and restaurants. A cooking school offering fabulous classes and dining in a sumptuous riad, with no attention to detail overlooked. Wonderful picnic days and classes in the Atlas Mountains, walking trips at a pace you decide, shopping extravaganzas and the beginning of a cooking holiday far off the tourist trail!

In July 2000, having shed everything with a key, the houses, the boat, the car, the husband, Edwina left Australia for Spain and re-invention, with Mary-Lou the boxer, bikinis, the last of the ex matrimonial wine collection and receipts for a container following over the ocean. A house wonderful was claimed in Frigiliana, a pink jet boat and a cabriolet, the re-invention was on track!One afternoon on the beach with new friends, riads and Marrakech were mentioned and the fact that anyone who was anyone was getting one! By 7pm Edwina and Mary-Lou were on the ferry to Tangier. The drive to Marrakech with the roof down and Mary-Lou's mouth flaps, flapping, knowing no Arabic and guessing the Frenc! Signs for paying a toll 'Peage' were translated as exits to the beach! It didn't matter that I paid the money and no beach appeared, I was Marrakech bound! Marrakech the exotic won me. Driving into the city with palms, snow capped mountains behind and Cheb Mammi throbbing from the CD player in the car, was transporting. The CD, given to me on the way down at a BBQ stop, was apparently, an 'engagement ring!'
In February 2002 I returned and searched for three months for my little piece of heaven. In May I found and claimed it. A house that made me go 'Oh wow 'and I knew it would be 'Wowee' when finished.
In December 2003 I sold the house glorious in Spain to be present for all swings of the hammer, I needed many more eyes and sacks of gold than could be imagined! In 2007, having saved the strength for this moment, the doors were flung open in welcome.
In 2011 they were again flung open with the re-invention of the House of Fusion Marrakech, a cooking school with gourmet holidays in the desert, a kasbah, a Berber village, a hidden Caid's palace and now at our trillion year old ksar in the Ziz Valley palmeraie.
Edwina and her husband Taoufik had their wedding party in a desert village far beyond the end of the road, it is now included as somewhere wonderful to take you!
