Dar Fakir is a Riad de Charme located just 3 mins walk from Djema el Fnaa square. It reopened at the beginning of 2011 to visitors after a complete refurbishment. We differ from other riads in the sence that we offer an extensive service over other riads including not only the normal cooking courses but yoga, artisanal workshops and a very intimate service bordering onto concierge at very affordable rates. We provide extras such as meet and greet throughout your stay if required by our security guard during the evenings and at night. Mobile phones are provided to guests on request and are free of charge during their stay. We spend a lot of time with the guests making them feel welcome in the riad but also at home in the hectic maze of the Marrakech Medina. In total 5 languages are spoken in the riad - English, German, Swedish, French and the local Arabic, Darija.

The rooms all have individually embroided bed linen made from Egyptian Cotton. The toiletries provided by Sence de Marrakech are Shower gel, Body lotion, shampoo and hand soap. For the Suite we can provide black soap and a gommage flannel.
All rooms and Suites are decorated in elegant beige tadelakt on the walls as well as in the bathrooms. The floors have terracotta zellige. Rooms and Suites are furnished with traditional dark wood furniture in traditional berber style. The suites in addition have beautiful leather clad writing desks that tastefully match the decor. You will experience the ambience of arabian night in the evening when the handcrafted lamps and lanterns cast magical shadows on the walls.

Suite Salama (Ground floor, Kingsize Double)
our beautiful spacious suite. Decorated with stylish and sleek Berber furnishing and zellige flooring. Suite Salama is the sole room on the ground floor. The suite has 2 windows facing inwards towards the patio. The bathroom is very grand in size and finished in traditional beige tadelakt it has a shower/ bath.

Room Amira (1st floor, Double)
Amira is a wonderful corner room on the first floor. Furnished with a full wardrobe and even a little writing desk traditional in style. The window is facing into the riad.

Grande Suite Iswane (1st floor, Twin, Double or Triple, Kingsize double + couch bed)
comes with a large bathroom and a lounge sofa that can be used a an extra bed at no extra cost. Decorated with dark wood furniture this suite also offers ample space to sit and relax.

Suite Ahlame (1st floor, Kingsize Double)
identical to Suite Salama this beautiful suite offers the same grand bathroom and exquisite decor. By being on the first floor you are simply a step nearer to enjoying the terrace.

Room Laila Saida (1st floor, Double/ Twin)
the largest of the rooms Laila Saida is one of our most popular rooms despite not having a window. Located in the far corner of the 1st floor this room offers peace and quiet and a good night sleep.

Suite Zouhoure (1st floor, Kingsize Double)
this Suite has 2 patio facing windows and lies opposite to Grand Suite Iswane. The 3/4 sized swinging doors seperating the bed room and bathroom are unique to this room.

Room Ghalia (1st floor, Double/ Twin)
the beautiful corner room located directly next to the stairs leading to the terrace. This is the only room in the riad with an outward facing window. The window is situated toward the quiet residential road. Elegant Berber furnishings and decor.

Policies

In order to avoid fraud, only make prepayments (reservations or deposits) using a credit card (or any other card that does not require a PIN number for online purchases) or PayPal. Never make an advanced payment using cash, checks, money orders or bank transfers. Learn why.

Cancellation policy

If the booking is cancelled by 12 pm more than 21 days prior to the day of arrival no charge will be made.

If the booking is cancelled by 12 pm 21 days - 48 hours prior to arrival 50% of the booking will be charged

If the booking is cancelled by 12 pm less than 48 hours before arrival the full booking will be charged.

No show or early departure - 100% of the booking is charged
